TRANSFORMATIVE JUSTICE INSTITUTE
(TJI) Transformative Justice Institute / Taiho Jutsu
We are living in a time where there is a call for the reformation of Law Enforcement across the globe. The world needs better cops. The world needs current cops to perform better, to be better. Regardless of how law enforcement is reformed there will always be a need for people who respond to violent crimes and are highly skilled at controlling aggressive subjects.
There is no technology available that can accomplish this task. An investment has to be made in developing current personnel and training future Officers.
Skill in this area results in decreased use of force complaints, decreased subject injury, and decreased officer injury. Additional benefits include quality procedural justice and increased positive public perception.
In order to develop the skill required for officers to successfully control resistive subjects in a manner acceptable to the community they serve, training has to be made a priority.
Dr. William Lewinski, executive director at Minnesota-based Force Science Institute said
“There’s no profession that trains so little but expects so much.”
The (TJI ) Taiho Jutsu / Control Tactics Program provides Minnesota POST (Peace Officers Standards and Training) approved curriculum, which includes:
